Birds peeking out of wood

Black Hills Wildlife

It’s amazing how much wildlife there is in the Black Hills, and especially here at the campground. This summer we have watched tons of baby birds being hatched, the deer come down to visit, the elk are nearby and the osprey likes to come grab a trout once in a while. This summer there have also been sightings of mountain lions, moose and even bears (which are much more elusive) in the Black Hills. Our guests always enjoy watching the baby birds hatching and learning to fly (the ones that landed on our sign look a bit angry with the photographer!). We’ve sighted bald eagles and owls. The Black Hills is truly a wildlife paradise!
